In the industry for 25+ years, Suzanne Merrell has worked in all aspects of dining and hospitality. Joining Toronto Pearson in 2011 as the Senior Manager of Food and Beverage Programs.
Suzanne and her team were charged with transforming the restaurant offering and dining experience at the airport to reflect the diversity and culinary excellence of Toronto.
After attending the University of Guelph, majoring in Hotel and Food Administration, Suzanne began her career with a decade spent working in restaurants and hotels across Canada. In 1999 she joined CARA Group in Mississauga, Ontario helping to lead the development of the retail dining division in the newly formed Healthcare portfolio. She then became National Healthcare Marketing Director for Compass Group Canada. In 2007 Suzanne was recruited as Vice President of Operations and Innovation for Meatless Gourmet, a frozen packaged goods company specialising in vegetarian products.
Suzanne’s passion for the food industry is reflected in both her personal and her professional life. She sits on the advisory board for the Humber College School of Hospitality and is part of a provincial initiative to integrate education and industry in hospitality.
