The FAB Awards and FAB Superstars Awards are the most prestigious awards programme in the industry, attracting entries from airports, concessionaires, and brands around the world. Winning a FAB Award or a FAB Superstars Award is a mark of excellence that demonstrates your commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
All entries will be assessed by an independent panel of judges comprising industry experts and professionals. Shortlisted finalists will be notified in early August. Winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation Ceremony taking place during the Gala Dinner on September 13, 2023.

FAB Awards Judges

Diana Chan
Diana is a Malaysian-born accountant turned celebrity chef, who rose to fame after winning MasterChef Australia Season 9. Diana has since become a popular face on Australian TV, hosting three food shows, and has collaborated with numerous brands including Vogue, Samsung, and Lexus. She has also worked with big corporates, government bodies, and major developers such as DFAT, Sofitel, and Crown Hotels. Diana is associated with various charities including Beyond Blue and OzHarvest, and has her own range of dumplings with Golden Wok sold at all major Australian supermarkets.

Ann Elliott
Ann is a seasoned NED and Board Advisor in the Leisure and Hospitality sector, known for her ability to help businesses create profitable, award-winning ventures by listening to the voice of the customer. With expertise in Strategy, Insight, Marketing and Operations, she has a consistent track record of building demand for brands. Ann has served on a range of boards from PLCs to family businesses and start-ups, and currently sits on five boards and advises three others. An active industry speaker, Ann also sits on the Tamweel advisory panel, Arena board, and UKH events committee, and organises the Female Leader & Entrepreneurs conference for Propel.

Sevda Fevzi
Sevda is the President & CEO of Sevly Inc, a global consulting firm specialising in CX management, marketing, and strategic business development. With 15+ years of experience in aviation, she has collaborated with airport operators from over 80 countries, gaining expertise in ASQ programme and awards management. Sevda’s skill set includes strategic planning for customer experience in new terminal constructions, addressing the needs of passengers requiring assistance, and creating data-driven passenger personas.

Peter Gargiulo

Alan Gluck
Alan Gluck has almost 30 years of experience in commercial management, financial analysis, and project management. He provides concession planning services for the redevelopment of airports in San Diego and Austin. Alan is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and serves on several trade organisation committees. He also serves on the ACI-NA Business Diversity Committee and the AAAE Corporate and DE&I Committees.

Nick Goddard-Palmer
Nick is a results-driven executive with 17 years of experience in international airport retail and hospitality. He has managed and developed multi-million dollar commercial businesses to award-winning success and ensured exceptional service and guest experiences. Nick’s commercial strategy projects include CEO of DDFS at Indira Gandhi International airport and project development manager for Aer Rianta Middle East. He was instrumental in creating the impressive F&B programme at Hamad International Airport, which won SKYTRAX 5th World’s Best Airport for Dining in 2017. With over 25 years of international experience, Nick specialises in retail and hospitality management, project management, and business strategy.

Nick Inkster
Nick is a hospitality veteran who spent his entire career in the industry, including 26 years in various senior positions with SSP. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the group for 16 years, overseeing businesses across the globe. Nick was instrumental in planning the first ever FAB awards in 2011 and has been an active supporter ever since. In 2019, he retired and was honoured with a FAB award for his outstanding career contribution to airport F&B. Nick now acts as a judge for the awards and remains closely interested in travel retail.

Martin Moodie
Martin, a New Zealand-born writer, editor, and commentator, has spent over 35 years in airports and in the sky researching, reporting, and commenting on the travel retail sector. After moving to the UK in 1987, Martin worked for Duty-Free News International, where he was both Editor and Managing Director. In 2002, he launched The Moodie Report, a humble 7-page pdf newsletter which quickly became a market leader. A lover of good wine, the All Blacks, and music, Martin now lives in Hong Kong, overlooking the South China sea, and plans to have ‘Free of duty at last’ as his epitaph.

Kevin Zajax
Kevin Zajax is CEO of Ground Control, a specialist business advisory for airports and stadiums as well as retail and F&B brands. Ground Control’s mantra is ‘memorable experiences, superior returns’ and they have already established themselves as the “go-to-guys” in Asia-Pacific.
They work with clients such as Marvel Stadium, the SCG Trust as well as airport and non-airport businesses and brands.
