THAILAND. Over 200 entries have been received for The Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards 2023, underlining the post-pandemic resurgence in the sector.
Today we also release further details of the programme with SSP Asia Pacific People Director Patty Wong and Ömer Alaettinoglu Founder & CEO of acclaimed airport hospitality concept Kepler Club (and subject of a major recent Moodie Davitt interview) joining a stellar speakers’ line-up.
They are joined by Ryan Loo, CEO of another innovative airport hospitality concept, CapsuleTransit from Malaysia; Travel Food Services Executive Director Varun Kapur; and CAVU Experience Director Matt Etchells.
The Moodie Davitt Report Research Director Jess Allerton will partner with tRetail Labs Chief Product Officer & Co-Founder Sossina Shenkute in presenting initial highlights of a comprehensive research study into the airport food & beverage market.
Judging is now underway for the FAB Awards, which will be revealed at The Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Conference & Awards 2023 Gala Dinner on 13 September at The Millennium Hilton Bangkok.

Star-studded and diverse roll-call of speakers
COCA & Mango Tree Restaurants Worldwide will be bringing an exciting fusion of Thai and international flavours to the event by hosting an exciting cook-off between its Chief Executive and Chairman Pitaya Phanphensophon and Diana Chan, Chef and MasterChef Australia Winner from 2017.
The cook-off will be moderated by COCA & Mango Tree Chief Operating Officer Natalie Phanphensophon and Managing Director Trevor MacKenzie.
Diana Chan is part of the expert panel of judges for the FAB Awards. She will also speak at the conference and share insights on the role of food in the travel journey.
Additionally, Chan will be part of the perennially popular FAB Women panel, where the subject of women in leadership and the importance of diversity and inclusion within the sector will be addressed. The FAB Women panel will also include Natalie Phanphensophon; Freda Cheung, President and CEO Asia Pacific of Dufry and Mélanie Guilldou, Executive Vice President Foodservice Global, Lagardère Travel Retail.
