A voice of the airport hospitality industry in India, Mr. Varun Kapur holds a reputation for helming some of the most iconic projects at Travel Food Services (TFS) since its inception in 2009.
Over the years, Mr. Kapur has passionately developed the concept of airport hospitality by creating properties like “The World’s Best Lounge” – The Adani Lounge at Mumbai Terminal 2, Multi-brand F&B Offers at Delhi Terminal 3, Revamp of Chennai Airport F&B across Terminals, Master Concession at Kolkata Airport’s Integrated Terminal, Gatiman Express Inaugural Onboard Catering and India’s first award winning Food Plaza on the Railway network at Vizag. This transformation of Food and Travel in India has substantially enhanced the passenger experience and journey. To execute Varun’s vision, TFS has been at the forefront of curating distinct projects that define F&B experiences to travellers in India.
Graduating ‘magna cum laude’ from New York University, Stern School of Business with Bachelors in Science – Finance and Accounting, Varun began his career as an Investment Banker at Bank of America’s Leveraged Finance Group. Eventually moving back to India, Varun spearheaded the expansion and growth of K Hospitality’s highly successful marque ventures Copper Chimney and Irish House. Currently as the Executive Director of TFS, Varun is the driving force responsible for taking the business on a path of growth and driving innovation in the airport hospitality business. A penchant for food, he continues to make strides by bringing newer culinary concepts and hospitality experiences to India.
