Andrew Weddig
Andrew Weddig is an airport concessions industry thought leader with more than 25 years’ experience planning, developing and managing airport dining and shopping programmes at more than 40 North American airports.
Weddig currently serves as Executive Director of the Airport Restaurant & Retail Association (ARRA), the trade association of US airport restaurant and retail concessionaires. ARRA’s mission is to promote sound policies and practices that further the success of airport concessions businesses and elevate the travel experience. As ARRA’s chief policy, program and administrative officer, Weddig works collaboratively with the association’s Board of Directors and members, as well as the broader airport community, on operational, financial and policy matters of common interest to concessionaires, airports and all stakeholders in the industry’s ecosystem.
Prior to accepting his appointment at ARRA Weddig worked at Paradies Lagardère, where he directed the company’s Dining Division business development activity. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Leader of the retail planning and management practice of Unison Consulting.
Weddig earned a BA in Economics and Master of Management degrees from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
