John Lungstrom Khan is Head of F&B and Convenience for Copenhagen Airports. He has worked in the hospitality industry since 2004.
After several positions in restaurant management, John left Denmark to work in the Australian fine dining business. This led to two years working in the two largest wedding venues on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. John then went to Tokyo, where he challenged traditions as maître d’ with the country’s largest restaurant chain, Global Dining.
Moving back to Denmark, he turned around Nyhavn 17, a well-known classic restaurant that is an established part of the Copenhagen tourist scene. Within a 15-month period he drove an increase in business of more than +40%, in a restaurant with an already high turnover. John then became General Manager of Sticks ’n’ Sushi, one of Copenhagen’s top Japanese eating places, before turning to the airport industry.
As head of category John shares his passion for food and customer satisfaction with the concessionaires, aiming for the best possible quality and service. He aims to meet demand from all segments, in order to serve Copenhagen airport and its passengers in the best possible way.
