Ignacio Castejon Hernandez
Ignacio Castejon Hernandez began his career as an associate lawyer at global law firm Linklaters and then worked in investment banking for nine years. In 2012 he joined Ferrovial Airports’ Corporate Development Department as Project Director to coordinate the analysis and execution of investments and divestments (M&A).
His key responsibilities included consortium leadership, coordinating all work streams with the ultimate responsibility for the final project delivery and performance; stakeholder management, acting as the primary point of contact for major stakeholders and principal project spokesperson; and Executive Committee Lead, articulating, advising on and approving strategic plans.
In September 2017 Ignacio was appointed CEO of Great Hall Partners, which was selected by Denver International Airport as the partner for its Great Hall project. This will transform Levels 5 and 6 within Denver’s 1.5 million sq ft Jeppesen Terminal including enhancing security, increasing capacity, updating ageing systems, improving passenger flow and elevating the overall passenger experience. The renovation will ultimately create 63,000sq ft of space for 50 commercial units, offering an integrated passenger experience and representing the perfect mix of culinary offerings and high-performance and innovative retail brands while encouraging minority and small business participation.
Ignacio has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Law (E-3) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, ICADE (Madrid) and an EMBA from IESE Business School. He is Associate Professor at IE Business School, a Lecturer at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and Chairman of the Industry Advisory Board at Cranfield University.
